Kinfe outed in election.

Tesfalem Kinfe has been defeated in the Vlesadwassan elections. While the result was closer than predicted by many commentators, Mr. Kinfe's government was soundly beaten by Ebele Uchechea's Progressive Vlesadwassan Alliance party. It is expected that little will change diplomatically. Many of the regions governments have sent congratulations to Mr. Uchechea. Sourced from VINE via BBC World Service.

Kalemnitka offensive turns south.

After weeks of labouring away against severe Ahmnesian resistance, Kalemnitka turned its operations southward into Hembabwe and westward into Jenkinesia. While politically Kalemnitka and Hembabwe have shown much alignment (and considerable joint growth), the tribal nature of their 2 countries are significantly different and will continue to separate them. While little has been stated overtly, there are many geo-political analysts who believe the military action of Kalemnitka is long overdue. Hembabwe and Jenkinesia, as with East Mbazzohui, have been conducting cross-border insurrection against the Kalemnitkan government.

Kalemnitka offensive choked by Ahmnesian resistance.

After a month of successes, against little or no substantial opposition, Kalemnitkan armed forces hit the “roadblocks” of the 15 th Ahmnesian Infantry Battalion at S trugua and the 12 th Ahmnesian Infantry Battalion at Oploawana. With support from the Ahmnesian Air Force, the Kalemnitkan troops were stopped. After a considerable amount of negotiation a cease-fire was declared and seems to be holding.

Ahmnesia fights back!

Dateline: 1 st May 1980. Story courtesy of VINE With the majority of his country under the control of a foreign invader, President Albus Smith and his leading general, General Willeye Fugetyou, have rallied the Ahmnesian army and counter-attacked. With air-force Phantoms clearing the skies over the battlefield and providing invaluable ground support to the troops, the Kalemnitkan forces suffered their first defeats. Fighting has now stalemated in the central section of Ahmnesia and, although, no official ceasefire has been organised, there seems to be only sporadic fighting. Further news as it comes to hand.
