The Raid on the Fuerte del camello vacío

  Recently, the FAdY - Fuerzas Armadas de Yafwiya – launched a surprise attack on the Fuerte del camello vacío being used (if not held! by rebels from the Organización de la Independencia de Sajjad – O.I.Sajj). Photo reconnaissance by FadY aircraft indicated that the nearby village of El camello vacío seemed to be held or, at least, sympathetic to the rebels. This revealed that fairly regular convoys were bringing supplies to the village and the fort. While most of these supplies were being brought to the fort, there seemed to be several storehouses in the village. From these, the local armed rebel groups were getting the supplies they needed to continue their war against the FAdY.   The nearby Rio justo provided a possible avenue (and eventually the one chosen) for the newly equipped FadY troops to launch their assault onto the fort and, maybe, the village. The following is an account of the raid. The pictures have been supplied by the FAdY from their aerial reconnaissance.
  After years of debating over the positioning of their mutual border, allegedly based on tribal influences, Tabarzeze and Yafwiya have requested the assistance of Puerta Docielo and Vlesadwassa to adjudicate the matter. This issue has recently become more complicated by the interventions of Khenifria, Republic of Rachebabeverdeland Pebbostan (Pebbostan) and Allergeria. All 3 countries have significant populations of Sajjad and have been actively supporting the Organización de la Independencia de Sajjad – O.I.Sajj – in their claims to get an independent homeland. The Sajjad’s claim covers a significant portion of northern Yafwiya and southern Tabarzeze. Sajjad claims also included small sections of Khenifria, Pebbostan and Allergeria – all of these have been accepted and granted nominal independence.
