UMGAWALAND HISTORY 18th Century 1748 - Sir Humphrey Luxury-Yacht (late of Cholmondeley, Cheshire, England) of the East India Trading Company landed in Botungo Bay and established a trading outpost. Initial commodities for trade were bananas, coconuts, sugar and spices. 1750 - Because of population expansion at the EITC Botungo Bay trading post, a charter was granted to found a city and the name was changed to New Cholmondeley (in honour of Sir Humphrey's birth place). 1799 - The first coffee crop was planted, which would eventually lead to greater wealth generated in the colony. 19th Century 1808 - During the Napoleonic Wars, French privateers sought to wreak havoc on maritime trade along the eastern coast of Imagiafrica. Pihkáland Pilots Go Into Battle

  Khenefrian aircraft recently tried to strike at the bridge over the Limpoko River in Duloc. Border tensions have simmered between the two counties after Duloc attacked and killed bandits hiding across the border with Me-262 fighter bombers. This led to retaliation when Khenefrian F-100 attacked and destroyed a passenger train in Duloc killing over fifty civilians. Not satisfied with this the Khenefrians have tried again. As the Khenefrian air force failed to keep their four F-100s serviceable they turned to China for support. The CCP supplied J-7s and J6 fighters and fighter bombers and also supplied the technical support to keep the planes in the air. Indeed some of the pilots that took part in the raid may have been Chinese instructors.   Luckily for Duloc two Pihkálander Skyhawks were training with two Duloc flown Drakens in the area.
