As Kalemnitka (and unrevealed collaborators) concluded the military conquest of East Mbazzohui and Ahmnesia. Most international news agencies have largely ignored this localised war, until recently. Troops from the Kalemnitkan army in action.  

NEW CHOLMONDELEY TIMES In ongoing provocations, elements of the Wurmmpotato Air Force crossed the border and penetrated into Umgawan territory. In response, the closest CoWAF squadron was scrambled to chase away the Wurmmpotato interlopers. Upon contact, there was lots of frantic waving and gesticulating. Finally the Wurmmpotato pilots realised that they were outnumbered and outgunned, they turned for the border and left Umgawan airspace. No casualties were recorded. The Umgawan Foreign Minister, Dr. Gunnar Letmeleggo, has sent a strongly worded message to Wurmmpotato's President, Mombobo Ul Hatchette. The message was something like "Bugger off", but perhaps a little more diplomatic. However, this is yet to be confirmed.   Wurmmpotato aircraft flying over the border into Umgawan airspace. A news release from the Tikadan State News Service has confirmed that the Grongo campaign has been completed with Tikada completely annexing the Grongo. In the same news release, it was claimed that President Ricardo Grongo has fled to a nearby undisclosed country. Tikadan troops (below) near the Mbotu border.

BBC World Service (Imagi-African Bureau) and NHK (Imagi-African Bureau) have verified and clarified a number of UN rumours. These were previously released as unverified. 1. The Grongo has been invaded by Tikada, with an initial aerial blitzkrieg reminiscent of the Six-Day War. This was followed by a co-ordinated land attack by Dogome, Nidoue and Tikada with major assistance from Owakalik, Goudabalek and Zeebia. The exact nature of the “major assistance from Owakalik, Goudabalek and Zeebia” has not been disclosed but, seems** to be “significant air assets”. In line with previous, similar operations “significant air assets” implies logistical transport**, vital for the success of such operations. 2. After many months of aggression by East Mbazzohui, Jenkinesia and Kalemnitka have retaliated against East Mbazzohui. From an eastern Imagiafrican perspective, things have been relatively quiet. But a wise person would see that this relative peace may be fleeting. Naked aggression has raised its ugly head in other parts of Imagiafrica. Once peaceful nations now find themselves at the brunt of invasion. Mombuututu has fallen. The Grongo is facing defeat. Ahmnesia and East Mbazzahui are facing unprovoked incursions. These are the victims of a "New Imagiafrica", one that no longer tolerates nations that "sit on their hands and do nothing". Dateline: North-western Mombuututu April 19 th 1980 – a VINE multimedia report. Background: Acting upon information received from a local source, a Dogome army platoon was sent to north west Mombuututu. The platoon chosen was the 3 rd from the 18 th Battalion of the 16 th Division – hereinafter cited as the 3 rd for this article. They were supported throughout by local militia. The source claimed that helicopters (coming from a northerly direction, 2 nights previously) had brought in troops to attack a Dogome army supply dump. This was duly completed and, in the course of this action, several of the attackers were killed or captured. The defending Dogome troops, by this means, established that the attacking troops were from the Grongo. The Grongo troops remaining, escaped towards Tarzania with 5 fuel trucks and 13 supply trucks in convoy.
